01. Cleo Sol - Self

Cleo Sol’s howling vocals on ‘Self’ are apparition-like. They appear in the mist of jazzy pianos, leading you into an atmosphere that feels otherworldy. As she builds from an almost-whisper to outright wailing, you are intoxicated by the singer’s unique brand of R&B. It serves as the intro for her newly-released album Heaven, and the start of a truly special journey.

02. Khi'leb - SWEEP

Khi’leb graces ‘SWEEP’ with the skills of a veteran, but the ardour of a prospect. He unleashes clever wordplay and bouncy flows with absolute confidence, and cuts through the mix with a gritty cadence, as if this is only a warning of what’s to come from the Brisbane rapper. With bars like this, we can’t wait to hear more.

03. Sollyy x Dylan Atlantis - No Assumptions

Drums, baby. they hit like an Adesanya head kick on ‘No Assumptions’. Sollyy is ducking and weaving with the raps, throwing out fast flurries of braggadocio. Dylan Atlantis is like water, floating with woozy melodies. Get in the ring with this track, and leave beautifully bruised.

04. Club Angel - Stylin'

Club Angel thrives in the chaos of garage music. The drums are urgent, the vocal samples are ear-catching, and the dissonant keys catapult you into a state of ecstasy. It sounds like the Gran Turismo soundtrack on steroids, and fittingly, you should race to this track.

05. Ayra Starr - Rhythm & Blues

The title of this new Ayra Starr track tells you all you need to know. It’s got rhythym in the form of dance-inciting drum patterns. Arya’s warbles soar vehemently, propelled by a warm bed of synths, and skyrocketing with the passion of the blues. The positivity in this track feels like a warm hug, and its uptempo nature serves as the harbinger of a damn good time.

06. Shreta - Messy

Shreta makes R&B look easy on ‘Messy’. She effortlessly cycles through passionate passages, gliding through a reverb-soaked atmosphere. The track deals with the complications romance, with every lyric cutting through the ambience with relatability. This journey turns the jarring moments of love into an undeniable jam.

07. Yawdoesitall - LOVE JONES

‘LOVE JONES’ possesses the same energy as a highlight reel. It’s 2 minutes and 58 seconds of Yawdoesitall showing you how good he is. He blasts off almost immediately with determined flows fueled by a frenzy of bars before ushering in some smooth crooms on the hook. It proves his name to be true, and it’s nothing but net.

08. Denzel Curry - SKED ft. Kenny Mason

Denzel Curry and Kenny Mason are sword-like with their raps on ‘SKED’. They are Excalibur-swinging throughout the whole track, delivering in barrages like a berzerker but switching flows with the eloquence of a samurai. Their cadences slice through Charlie Heat’s buzzing production, with pulsates with layers of distortion. This onslaught is destined for the moshpit.

09. Doja Cat – Balut

Doja Cat’s flow on ‘Balut’ is laid-back, almost as if she’s tired of showing us how good of a rapper she is. The understated delivery here tip-toes the ominous boom-bap production, which guides listeners into a hypnotic head-bop. It’s set to appear on her upcoming album Scarlet, which drops next Friday.

010. Isaac Puerile x Mason Dane - ROOM SERVICE

On ‘ROOM SERVICE’, Isaac Puerile opens the blinds in his hotel abode, letting the sun shine through in the form of vibrant guitars and some uptempo rhythms. Both Puerile and Mason Dane are ordering the whole menu, turning sweet treats into soulful melodies and savoury goods into swagger-rich raps. This track is an ode to indulgence.
